Finally...

Ok, Ok, Ok.

I know.

He's 2 months old already.

BUT...TaDa!

Presenting EVERETT LYNDON PRICE

Everett was born March 18 2010 (10 days late) at 1:07 am. He weighed 8lbs 1oz and was 21 1/4 inches. He was the beautiful out come of 18 hours of induced labour and 3 hours of pushing, 20 mins with a vacuum. When he was born, Everett was not breathing and struggled to be resuscitated. Brock accompanied him to the NICU where he was placed under a space helmet to help him with his oxygen saturation. They also drew blood (a LOT of blood over the next 4 days) to do a blood culture to check for infection.

Over the next 24 hours, his saturation slowly rose and soon he was breathing perfectly. The next issue came to light when we started to feed him. Because he had been in the saturation hood, Everett was maintained by IV. I started trying to breastfeed him, but he was slow to pick it up, so we had to bottle him with part formula and part breast milk. Unfortunately, Everett's kidneys began dumping sodium. This led to him being kept in the NICU for 3 more days. These were the longest and hardest days of our lives! But before we knew it, Everett came to us and soon we were home!! All we had left to do was work out the Jaundice and help his contusion from the vacuum go down. This took very little time, considering they told us it could take months!

Here are a bunch of pictures from the next weeks of his life.

The Aftermath

Ok, ok, ok, I know I am not the worlds best blogger, but I am going to try really hard to get back on it. As this is the first post since the wedding and consequent honeymoon, there will be significant absence of photos (also, I haven't really figured out how to put pictures on since it changed).

WEDDING:

The wedding was AMAZING!!! Everything was more than I could have dreamed. Brock was very handsome, the groomsmen were striking, the 'maids were beautiful and the guests were wonderful. Everything went off without a hitch and although my feet were killing me, I was sad to leave so early. I hear that the party raged on into the night and a good time was had by all. I want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our family and friends who helped to make everything so beautiful and fun. I want to specifically thank my parents and Brock's parents (thanks Mom for keeping me sane and busting your ass to keep me smiling!!). I would like to thank Anthony for being my 'supplier' and awesome dance partner/best friend, Anton for being the best looking groomsman (and providing me with a surrogate child), Trevor for the most awesome speech EVER, Renee for sticking it out long into the night, Jessie for managing the little ones and bringing her great smile, Michelle for giving me someone to be inappropriate with, Hadley and Rawley for being the cutest Flower Girl and Ring Bearer I have ever seen, and last but not least Adonus, Mary, Marcy and Melissa for all of the behind the scenes things you did for us (like getting lunch, checking us into our hotel room, getting our quilt pieces signed, you know what you did!!!!)! Daddy, your speech was fantastic. Ralph, all I can say is thank you!!

Just so that everyone knows, we are working on Thank Yous!

CANCUN:

Cancun was a ton of fun, in the sense that we did ABSOLUTELY nothing pretty much the entire time. Brock and I ventured off of the resort for a total of 1 and half days that we were there. We visited Market 28 and were accosted by merchants so we only stayed for a brief time. Then we bused up to the other market area and ate at the Rainforest Cafe (it was neat, but I wish we would have gone for authentic Mexican as the only time we ate off the resort). We walked down to Senor Frogs and Margaretaville after eating and then went back to the resort. After that adventure, we spent two more days on the beach and just before heading home, we took a sweet diner cruise with Captain Hook. It was very entertaining and a great way to end off our trip. By the way, yes my husband IS burnt, but only because he doesn't listen to his wife, imagine that!

END OF HONEYMOON PRESENT:

So, to top off the end of a wonderful wedding and relaxing honeymoon, I was able to spend an enchanted evening with the man of my dreams. No, I don't mean Brock, although he was there also. I mean...GAVIN ROSSDALE!!!!! For the UN-informed, my all time favorite band ever in existence is Bush, whose lead singer for most of my life was my first choice as husband (a girl can dream). Now, he is just at the top of favorite famous people (along with his wife, Gwen Stephani). Anyways, after an incredibly long introduction, here is the point. On Saturday, after arriving home from a very, very long and turbulent plane ride, Brock and I attended an intimate concert evening with Gavin Rossdale. We were front row! It unequivocally was the best concert event of my life. I was close enough to touch and to top it all off, he not only sang his newest releases, but he also played some Bush and Institute (another of his bands). The highlight for me was when he sang my favorite song (EVER!!!!) Glycerin and Brock was able to record it on our camera from start to finish. Talk about the ULTIMATE way to end off our honeymoon!

Aside from the wonderful times had by all, we had the honor of coming home to a brand new nephew. He is beautiful and amazing, arriving in the world at a whopping 9lbs, 3 ounces and 20 inches long. I am so sorry Renee :( that must have hurt! But we are super excited that he is here, now settle on a name for the poor little guy(Teehee).

I also would like to extend a huge CONGRATULATIONS to my other sister-in-law Jessie because she is expecting again. Ok guys, send me whatever you have been drinking/eating because apparently it works! I need some baby luck sent my way!

3 nights, 2 days

So, we have 2 days left until the wedding. Everyone excited? I sure am. If nothing else, atleast for life to go back to normal again. But I am also super excited to become Mrs. Price! Nice ring to it hey?

Anyways, I am sure that you are not all here to read my ramblings, so here is the information I have to pass on to you. The Wedding begins at 1pm. Cocktails are served at 4:30, dinner begins at 5:30. There will be speechs and then a dance starting around 8 pm. We have to be out by 12pm, but there are many places around available for continued entertainment.

Sunday there will be a gift opening at my (very soon to be) Mother-in-laws, starting at 10ish. This will be drop in for anyone interested. The address is 221 Sherwood Place West. Follow this link to a google map of the location.

We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday. Here's to great weather, great friends and great love!!!

Safe travels to all our out of town guests!!

T minus 3 weeks and 2 days...

Hi everyone! Are you getting excited, I know that I sure am! I constantly find myself questioning "where did all the time go?". Anyways, enough of the crazy ramblings of the bride-to-be, I know you are all here for information.

We have to make an alteration to the last post, because our venue has informed us that our timeline does not work. As the Galt is a public space, they will be open until 4:30 on the day of the wedding. This means that our cocktail hour will not be starting until 4:30 (yup, that makes sense). This also means that in order for the caterers to set up, dinner will be pushed to 5:30 (I am really sorry to anyone who that inconveniences). As stated before, upon meeting with the Wedding Coordinator for the Galt, she informed us of this (1 month before the wedding?!?! how many people do you know who don't have a schedule lined up prior to a month before the wedding?!?!?!).

Anyways, on to more fun things. Wait, I'm not sure if I have any fun things to report currently. Ummmmm, I will think on it and get back to you...

Closer and closer...

For all of you have been counting down just like me, there are 7 Saturdays left until the wedding. OMG! How did that happen?

For anyone who may have been away for the last month or so, the invitations have been sent and we are starting to recieve RSVP's everyday. I can't tell you how exciting it is for me to recieve those little envelops in the mail. It's like getting a little gift everyday because it tells me the people who love me enough to share this wonderful and joyous occation with me (and Brock too, he's just not as attached to the little cards as I am).

Anyways, just in case anyone misplaces the information from the invitations, we are getting married March 14, 2009 at 1pm. We are getting married at the Galt Museum and Archives Viewing Gallery. After the Ceremony, we will be doing photos, and all guests will be recieving complementary Museum entrance (so you don't get bored). Cocktails will begin at 4pm, followed by dinner at 5pm. There will be a dance to follow dinner.

We have reserved 35 rooms at the Days Inn, which is down the street from the wedding. Simply call them and tell them you are reserving a room for the Barrett/Price wedding. The Lethbridge Lodge is also directly down the street, feel free to call them to price compare.

We also set up a registry at the Bay. This is really neat because you can shop online for it, or if you go in, you can choose the price range you want to buy in and they will give you the items in that range, or you can see the whole list, or you can buy by area of the store (ex: you want to by towels, they give you a list of towels we want). You can search this also using either Barrett or Price. We also welcome cash gifts, as we will be going on a Honeymoon to Cancun (YAYAY!!! We didn't think that we would be going, but we got a great deal that we couldn't pass up!).

Well, I think that is everything for now. Keep your ears open for shower information to come. We are sending all our love out to you all.

Happy Holidays! Christmas Came Early @ Our Home!

Hello all! I don't really have any new wedding information, except that the proof has been approved for printing! SOOOOooooo, I figured I would take this time to wish you all a fantastic holidays and gloat a bit that I get 16 days off for Christmas! That's right, 16 DAYS!!!

While we are on the topic of Christmas, I will share the excitement of the past few days with everyone. On Saturday (happy birthday Jessie and Anthony) we had a Christmas dinner with our friends. As a direct result, ALL of our presents got opened. I am now the proud owner of the Full Metal Alchemist series (my ALL TIME FAVORITE anime series), the new Kingdom Hearts release of Chain of Memories, the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends DS game, and several gift certificates. Brock (the lucky bugger) is ecstatic about his brand new, wicked blue Guitar, complete with stand and R.E.M. music book. We also received a new Killer Bunnies game and an expansion for Descent. All in all a productive Christmas that is not even close to being over!

This is what my life has consisted of since the epic opening of the guitar. Well, at least I know that he is happy, and he can already play pretty good, so I am excited for him to hone his skills! Yay for the hot blue guitar!

I may not have much more until after Christmas, but Happy Holidays to all, and a Very Merry Christmas!

Oh Yeah, and less than 3 months till the wedding!!! Woot Woot!

It's beginning to look a lot like ... Wedding?

Hello everyone (if there is still anyone who reads this, it has been ages since I last wrote). We have been absolutely swamped in wedding, christmas, work and studying! Brock wrote the exam for his first CIP course on friday. I am excited to see how he did, I am sure he ace'd it (for all of the hours he spent on it)! We also chose our wedding invitations on friday. I am excited to see how they turn out. We should be getting a proof later this week and then it will take 10 days or so to get them!

In November, the Bridesmaids dresses arrived. I haven't had a chance to see them yet, but I hear that they are beautiful! Michelle's fit perfectly, Jessie's needs to be altered a bit (atleast I am not alone) and Renee didn't even try hers (you know, because she's not 8 months pregnant yet!). We also picked our JP. She is a fantastic, funny and kind woman. I am really looking forward to working with her. Now we just have to work in the scheduling of the actual day! I am having slight anxiety about how much that entails! We booked our DJ also. We decided to go with Bullet Music and we are excited to see how that turns out. I have heard lots of great things about them. Seems like everything is coming together. It is so hard to believe that there is only 3 months and 1 week left until the day.

I want to send a HUGE shout out to Trevor for helping us to design our CD booklets and prints! I think that so far they look amazing and stand in awe of your talent. I also want to thank Deb for all her hard work on the slide show and for ordering capes and shawls for the girls and I (THANKS MOM)!

I am sure there is stuff that I am missing, but now that I am in the mood for blogging again and have things to talk about, I will be back.

Oh ya, and I am looking for new Twilight news to keep me going now that the books and movie are all done for now...ANY news.
